What is Permanent Makeup
Permanent makeup is a revolutionary technique that permanently resembles makeup, such as eyeliner, and lip liner. It is also used to produce artificial eyebrows, particularly in people who have lost them as a consequence of old age, diseases such as alopecia, chemotherapy or overtweezing.
• Do you have thin, uneven lips that take away from facial balance?
• Do you have a cleft lip?
• Do you suffer from Vitiligo (also called leukoderma) and want to restore an even skin tone?
• Do you have an occupation/lifestyle, where you perspire often requiring you to re-apply?
• Or do you simply want to wake up with makeup, and look your best all day long?
• Have you experienced hair loss or have sparse, uneven or no eyebrows due to over plucking, aging, Chemotherapy treatments or Alopecia?
• Do you have arthritis, paralysis or vision limitations that make it difficult to put on your make-up?
• Are you allergic to conventional cosmetics wear contact lenses or eyeglasses that cause watery eyes or smudged eyeliner?
• Have you had a mastectomy. Areolas can be recreated and re-pigmented after having a mastectomy?
Is there discomfort involved?
Discomfort may be experienced but will be eliminated in a few seconds by topical anesthetic which helps to lessen any discomfort. Everyone has a different threshold of pain but we find that overall the discomfort is short lived in exchange for long term reward that you get from the procedure.
Are there any precautions that should be taken before any procedure?
Only with lips. If you have ever had cold soresn we suggest that obtain Zovirax begin taking them two days prior to the procedure. (5 days total). You can return to work straight after a procedure. We suggest you get someone to drive you for eyeliner procedures.
What can I expect immediately following a procedure?
The results immediately following the procedure will look somewhat darker and more pronounced than desired. After a week the colour will look softer and more natiural.
How long does it take and can it be completed in one visit?
Most procedures take approximately two hours. Slight maintenance may be required in years to come.
Is is expensive?
Fees vary from £100 to £400 per procedure, depending on the amount of work involved. Skin camoflage is based on an hourly rate. But remember, this procedure is permanent and can be enjoyed forever.
We apply special pigments through a delicate hand piece specifically designed for this procedure to accentuate your natural beauty.
Using new micro-pigmentation techniques, eyebrows can be recreated using fine lines to simulate real hair. Lips are highlighted to enhance their fullness, and blemishes and scars can be camouflaged. We can also simulate a natural nipple areola after breast reconstruction, remove tattoos and treat pigmentatia.
We have mastered a new technique to make tiny hair strokes on brows resemble real hairs. We can also shade the lips to create a natural shine without the use of lip gloss or highlighter. We can also use small stroking around the eyelashes to make them look naturally fuller.
